Barefoot Bernies Hagerstown, MD Shriners Benefit June 12, 2010 |

The day dawned clear but very hot and humid. And it didn’t cool off any! Members met at 9:00 am to set up for the Cruise In at Barefoot Bernies in Hagerstown and at just about 11:00 the cars and trucks started arriving. Sissy designed a great dash plaque which everyone loved. Although we had only 49 cruisers show up, down from 100 last year, everyone seemed to have a great time. We didn’t have any problems with the sound system so I think we have resolved the glitch and now know to keep it out of the sun and to open the back door to allow it to cool off. |

Barefoot Bernies gave us a very nice Samuel Adams mirror which we auctioned off – Brett Thompson was the lucky purchaser for $100. We collected $519.25 in donations for the Shriners, and Sherry White of Woodbine won $49 in the 50/50 and she donated her winnings back to the Shriners. Altogether we raised $717.25 for Shriners Hospitals for Children.

Barefoot Bernies gave us some door prizes and we pitched in some of our previous years t-shirts, so I think every cruiser who bothered to come up to the tents got a door prize. |

We also sold some raffle tickets for the visible globe gas pump and some t-shirts, so it was a very nice day. |
